Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE You will be reporting directly to the Director of Operations, an approachable, friendly, experienced, and well-respected individual across the industry. Initially, you will be managing a portfolio of works in the region of £25M per annum, these projects can, however, be extremely technical, niche, unique, challenging, and difficult to deliver, it will create a great sense of achievement. My client is targeting to continue its growth in CP7 and is already looking at a growth strategy, you will be part of this and helping the business grow, this will also help you grow as a professional.As well as strategy and pre-construction you will be overseeing the delivery of projects, managing 3rd party design consultants, making sure projects are profitable, maintaining a great relationship with the client, and managing, training, and developing delivery teams. You will be based in Swindon delivering the Western CP7 structures renewals which is a very long term project as will provide you with long term stable work with a world class Tier One employer.This project involves all aspects of heavy civil engineering such as; concrete works and deep drainage as well as all rail based associated civils. REQUIREMENTS You will be required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC) in a Construction , Civils, commercial management or quantity surveying or equivalent qualification.Having experience working on major rail projects is vital and you won’t be considered for this position without this experience.It is important to have experience working within highways, airports or rail for a tier 1 main contractor and to show good long-term stability at the companies you have worked for. As well as a stable career you will need at least 5 years’ experience working in Civil Engineering.You will also need a full UK driver’s license to allow to get from the office to the construction site and to other locations you might require to visit.
