Job ref: BBBH_ Published: about hours ago Freelance MRICS Quantity SurveyorDuration: - month contractLocation: LondonRates: Competitive day rates outside IRAbout the Role: My client, a leading construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced and qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a freelance basis for - months. This is an outside IR contract role.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of construction projects from initial cost estimating through to final account. You will work closely with the project team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, and contract documentationConduct measurement and valuation of construction worksManage subcontractor accounts and interim paymentsNegotiate final accounts and agreement of final figuresReport and monitor costs against approved budgetsPrepare monthly cost reports and forecastsAssist with procurement and tendering processesLiaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors and external consultantsRequirements:MRICS statusMinimum years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction projectsExcellent working knowledge of JCTProficient in using QS software packages e.g. CostXStrong commercial awareness and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent organizational, communication and reporting skillsStrong stakeholder management skillsEA/CA experienceTo apply for this exciting freelance opportunity, please get in touch for more information.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
