With a network of over 190 dealerships operating under the Bristol Street Motors, Vertu Motors, and Macklin Motors brand names, we're all about creating extraordinary digital experiences in the automotive industry.
We're on the hunt for highly motivated and proactive frontend developers who can hit the ground running, and join our well-established development team. You can work remotely or onsite at our head office in Gateshead. We are offering a salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
- Supercharging our complex automotive digital products, collaborating with a team of pros to deliver high-quality solutions
- Crafting scalable functionality using a modular approach with SEO in mind for websites and intranet systems
- Decoding and writing requirement briefs, specifications, wireframes, and designs
- Mentoring and teaming up with fellow developers
- Helping shape our frontend solutions and processes
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 2 years of frontend development experience
- Strong HTML and CSS/SCSS
- Rock-solid JavaScript/ES6
- Good understanding of React or Angular working with common frontend libraries like Redux/RxJS
- Git/GitHub - version control
- Mobile and responsive web design
- Content Management Systems
- API's both third party & internal
- Debugging using tools like Chrome Developer Console
- SEO focused - Web Core Vitals/Site speed
Nice-to-haves (but not deal-breakers):
- Experience managing large-scale projects (project management or team lead experience)
- Understanding of SMACSS/BEM
- Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies
- Pair programming & code reviews
- Cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds
- Experience in unit and end-to-end testing (Jest, Playwright)
