Become a Day Vet at our well-equipped site
Plymouth Veterinary Group is a first-opinion multi-site practice with a flagship Hospital and 4 branch surgeries serving all areas of Plymouth.
The Hospital is 24/7 365 days per year providing an out-of-hours service for other feeder practices within the area. The practice is well equipped with Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, Laparoscopy, and other diagnostic equipment enabling most first opinion cases to be treated in-house as well as accepting referrals for exotics.
You will have a varied caseload to suit your interests, whether this is medical or surgical, working in sole charge as well as within the wider team who hold additional qualifications in Surgery and Exotics with others working towards Dentistry, Imaging and Medicine.
Find a work/life balance with a 4 day working week at Plymouth Vets
Our vets work up to 40 hours per week across a maximum of 4 days with a share of Saturdays or full weekends so there is opportunity to find a pattern that suits your needs. Breaks are also built into the rota throughout the day to allow time for call backs and the follow-up of cases.
Find support and growth opportunities within our team
Our Vets are supported by a team of registered veterinary nurses, student veterinary nurses, animal nursing assistants and reception and admin staff as well as a dedicated overnight clinical team for our Out of Hours Service.
We are looking for someone with a real passion for small animal work who can carry out routine surgeries, client consultations and work up cases with the full support of the wider team. We fully encourage CPD and further qualifications and pride ourselves in fostering a learning environment for all staff to be able to reach their full potential.
Our location
Plymouth is Britain’s Ocean City and presents excellent opportunities for land and water-based activities as well as a vibrant cultural scene, with good access to the Southwest or Europe. There are not many better cities in which to live and work so if you are looking to relocate, we can offer you full support with this too.
