About the Role: Delivering inspiring and engaging D&T lessons across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) in line with the National Curriculum. Creating a stimulating and well-resourced D&T environment that promotes creativity, problem-solving and practical skills development. Contributing to the ongoing development of the D&T curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and ethos. Playing a key role in the school's enrichment programme, potentially developing and delivering D&T related clubs or workshops. Building strong relationships with students, fostering their confidence and encouraging a growth mindset. Contributing to the wider school community and participating in departmental and whole-school events. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified D&T teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging and inspiring students. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for design, technology and innovation. Strong practical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons in a well-equipped workshop environment. A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive and productive learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
