Fund Finance Associate - Venture Capital

A technology focused venture capital fund is looking to appoint a fund finance associate into a newly created position, reporting directly to the finance director.



With a new fundraise on the way, the business is looking to bolster its team with a new addition to support an exciting growth phase. With just over twenty people in the company, it's a small but closely knit group which includes a heavily intertwined finance and investment team.



The fund accountant will enjoy a role with tremendous breadth and variety in the day to day, with plenty of focus on the value add. Key areas of coverage will include:



Key point of contact to the outsourced fund administrators and responsible for overseeing the work they produce and managing the relationship
Supporting the portfolio valuations process, which sits solely with the finance team
Cash management, budgeting and forecasting
Supporting the seasonal audit process
Helping with the implementation and improvement of finance systems
Portfolio analytics - regular interaction with portfolio company CFO's and helping with value creation
Investor relations
Ad hoc projects



Organisational culture is vibrant and friendly and they're big believers in flexible working. Comp is likely to be around the £55,000-65,000 mark with a discretionary bonus and wider benefits package.



Our ideal candidate will look something like this:



Qualified accountant (or equivalent) ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Prior fund accounting experience, ideally from a competitor fund or a third party administrator. However, if you're an auditor that has worked with PE/VC structures then you'll also be taken into consideration.
