About us
Transparency International UK (TI-UK) is the UK’s leading independent anti-corruption organisation. We are a member of the Transparency International global movement made up of more than 110 country chapters with the vision for a world where people’s lives, government, business and society are free from corruption. We believe in a world where the health of our institutions is enhanced so they can better support the people they are intended for; a world where we can trust the integrity of those in authority and in business, and a world where there is no impunity for the corrupt at home or abroad.
Our ground-breaking research and work with governments, business and civil society exposes serious governance issues in the UK and where the UK contributes to corruption abroad. Moreover, as the world struggles to rebuild in the shadow of COVID-19, to deal with devastating events like the fall of Afghanistan, and the need to tackle corruption makes front-page news, our global programmes addressing corruption in health and defence and security are increasingly important.
The Fundraising Officer will be joining TI-UK at a pivotal time. We have just launched our ambitious new 10 year strategy setting out how TI-UK will tackle corruption now and in the years to come. Responsibility for securing the crucial donor support sits within our small but dynamic Evidence and Engagement Team, who lead the organisation’s fundraising, communications, and evidence and impact.

Reporting into TI-UK’s Head of Institutional Fundraising, the Fundraising Officer will play a vital role in cultivating relationships, supporting proposal development and in generating income for the fight against corruption. The role spans all TI-UK’s funding streams – trusts and foundations, major gifts, institutional donors and individual giving – making it a rewarding opportunity for someone excited by their contribution to fundraising as a whole.
Your excellent organisational skills, natural ability to build relationships, and your fundraising experience will be key to engaging and collaborating with TI colleagues, prospects and partners within the UK and around the globe. You will identify funding opportunities, manage proposal development processes, and engage and develop your own pipeline of donors.
Specific tasks include:
2. Use your flair for engaging with others to nurture and grow supporter relationships, fundraised income and our pipeline through:
3. Proactively contribute to building a donor portfolio and delivery of fundraising targets: Taking responsibility for identifying, applying to and managing donor relationships with a portfolio of smaller trusts and foundations and individuals, seeking unrestricted funding where possible.
About you
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of fundraising and experience in a fundraising environment. Just as important however, will be your enthusiasm for building relationships, organisational skills and confidence to ask prospective donors to support TI-UK’s work.
