Job Description

ResponsibilitiesMake informed, well-reasoned decisions on development titles and clearly communicate the product vision to the team. Engage with and empower cross-functional project teams to deliver on agreed vision, while ensuring product and market specifications are met! Participate in the critical review of games and lead reviews linked to the project landmarks (e.g. First Playable, Studio Review). Lead development conversations and provide detailed feedback on development builds. Work closely with the Project Manager and other collaborators to develop an understanding of key factors that determine the roadmap. Proactively implement solutions to game development challenges and handle conflicting expectations of cross-functional team members. Review and adapt the game development process, including identifying areas for improvement and participating in project Retrospectives. Experience Required Previous experience in game design. Experience using industry standard software including Jira. Ability to review previous projects. Passion and energy for games, technology, and entertainment. Conversational ability to get along with technical game contributors, supported by moderate understanding of mathematics, engineering, and art principles. Ability to communicate ideas and direction to a cross-functional game development team. Collaborative approach when working with test engineers on production issues. Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. SkillsSkills / Development: Strengthen your solid understanding of game design theory and principles through engagement with expert producers/content team on sophisticated projects Develop higher-level understanding of maths principles and rules integral to increasingly complex games by shadowing mathematicians and experienced producers. Soft Skills Ability to articulate ideas, find opportunities, and communicate project status, both internally to the studio and externally to other team members. Ability to collaborate with, engage, and encourage individual contributors across the team. Provide tailored feedback to individual contributors in a clear and appropriate manner. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the internal Studio Manchester team and with other IGT studios. Industry & Market You'll keep updated with UK regulatory requirements (e.g. Safer Gambling, Gambling White Paper). Develop a comprehensive understanding of IGT Game Identity and practical application Understand international IGT product lines and their specification requirements - including product lines at other studios.
