Job Description A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced ladies Garment Technologist .My client is a successful supplier to several leading retailers and supermarkets in the UK and are looking for anexperienced ladieswear technologist with some supplier and supermarket experience to join their team. Knowledge of working with Tesco systems highly advantageous or working within a similar environment and customer base someone,. The ideal candidate will need to be used to working in a fast-paced challenging environment for a supplier who can thrive under pressure as well as work autonomously . This role offers stability in a thriving company with an excellent benefits package .Main Responsibilities Will Include:Responsible for approval of garments and advising on all aspects on fit, construction, and quality related issues.Attending virtual and in person fit meetings with customers and translating the comments to overseas factoriesCreating size specifications and technical packs for issue to factories.Working closely within internal design, sampling, sales, and merchandising teams, and to develop strong working relationships with customers own technical teams.Writing fit comments accurately and sending to overseas factoriesLiaise regularly with customers regarding fit comments, specs/requirementsCreating production specificationsCommunicate all the information to offshore factories.Travel to overseas factories twice a year Person SpecificationPrevious experience working for a supplierKnowledge of working with High Street Multiples/SupermarketsTesco experience and understanding of systems highly advantageous Excellent verbal and written communication skillsGood understanding of garment constructionAbility to work under pressure and to key deadlines on the Critical PathAble to give clear concise written comments to factories
