Blocktech Mep are looking on behalf of their client for gas safe engineers to work as Surveyors off the tools, with CCN1 or equivalent, and if possible, MET 1 for a six-month contract.

The role is to carry out surveys in domestic buildings, identifying faults and minor remediation where needed.
As an example, labelling pipework, replacing ECV's, replacing and installing additional pipe brackets.
As a DMS surveyor you will be required to carry out a walking detection survey from the gas main to the building line and around the perimeter of the building as appropriate to also include: The main supply pipe to the building Any Visible gas pipework Accessible pipe entries Surface boxes and any building openings You will be working Five days a week, 8-hour days with overtime available.
Our client is looking for candidates to meet most of the following skills and attributes: As mentioned, CCN1 or equivalent.
Met 1 (Preferable) Previous Meter experience Good Work Ethic Customer relation skills A good record with time keeping and attendance.
Ability to self-manage and motivate.
An understanding of IT and experience using tablets to update systems.
In return you will receive: A good day rate, 8.5-hour days, Monday to Friday with overtime available.
Managerial support and regular Director updates Full PPE and Uniform Reliable workload and income A day rate between £200 to £230 Depending on whether you have your own Van.
