Gas Engineer - Technical Specialist for Boiler Manufacturer

A worldwide Manufacturer of Domestic Gas & Oil Boilers, are seeking a Gas Engineer to provide field technical support across the Northern Ireland region, Monday to Friday.
The Role
Based from home, but working across the region, you will represent the company supporting their boiler range across the region.
This includes providing technical support on the heating products to installers, service engineers and sales staff.
There is a clear focus on customer satisfaction along with a commercial awareness, in providing breakdown service and technical support on the company's heating products, whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Carry out breakdown and service visits to installers and end users throughout allocated region
Support the Technical / Service help line for the sales team and customers, including daily & weekend phone call rota cover.
Support the Sales Department by meeting installers, attending breakfast mornings and evenings, including trade presentations to enhance overall performance within the region
Supervise service agents. This will involve periodic visits to Service Agents, reviewing their performance, checking they adhere to our standards and procedures, checking stock levels and if they need training.
Identify & deliver training. Training agents and installers using all methods from PowerPoint to live demonstrations
Deal positively with customer complaints, speedily resolving these in the most cost-effective way whilst ensuring that high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.
As part of a team, play a pro-active role in achieving personal and group objectives. The jobholder will also need to effectively communicate ideas, views, and initiatives with team members and management.
Your Experience
You will be a Gas Engineer with a track record in Boiler Breakdown & Fault-Finding, looking to progress your career and share your knowledge & experience.
You will be a self-motivated gas engineer, organised with good customer facing skills and boiler breakdown / fault-finding ability.
Product training will be provided to those who possess
Boiler Fault-Finding experience
ACS certified, whilst Oil or LPG experience would be an advantage
Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
Able to build relationships & deliver training
Full UK Driving licence
Reside within the BT post code area

A package of circa £40k
Based on; £37k basic + £3k pa standby for providing the odd weekend technical telephone support
1 in 8 weekends + one Bank Holiday providing ad hoc technical support via phone
