The Role
Gatehouse Vets are currently recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Consult Nurse. This is the perfect opportunity to utilise the skills and knowledge you have learned and to make a real difference towards preventative health care for pets. We offer all routine appointments such as 2nd vaccines, post op checks, nails clips, Pet Health Club medication checks, and regular injections under veterinary direction. By making the role your own you will have the freedom to develop other clinics alongside such as diabetic, geriatric and weight management consults.
Rota
This is a full-time role but with currently no set hours. We are open to discussion with the right candidate about how to create the perfect work life balance for them. This could be a four-day working week or include weekends to free up time during the week. So why not come along for an interview and see our team dynamics. Salary
Up to £32,000 depending on experience.
About Us
We are a busy, well-established, tier 3 training practice with hospital status. Located in the West of Yorkshire we are a short drive away from the Yorkshire Dales and Bronte Country. We are closely located to good travel networks and links and pride ourselves on our excellent teamwork and inpatient care. We have 3 sites across West Yorkshire all well equipped with Ultrasound, endo scope, x-ray equipment, dental suites, etc offering 24-hour care for patients. We are a gold standard ISFM certified cat-friendly practice with a silver certificate for rabbits.
About the Team and Culture
Currently, we have 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 11 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 14 Receptionists. We hold regular team building events including our annual treasure hunt, weekends away, and opportunities to attend various congresses. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who struggles with childcare during the week, someone wishing to study for a certificate or further their career, or a Registered Veterinary Nurse wishing to take a step back into the profession
Applicant Requirements
RVN, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently as well as in a team, strong work ethic, good organisational skills, passion for what they do.
