What you’ll do
As a GCSE English teacher, you will have the amazing opportunity to share your passion for teaching on a mass scale, impacting hundreds, even thousands, of students with your expertise and dedication. You will contribute to creating high-quality materials for our website and deliver live lessons designed to help students excel academically and boost their confidence. Additionally, you will provide bespoke support to a select group of students, ensuring they receive the personalised guidance needed to achieve their learning goals
Responsibilities
Material Development:
- Create high-quality educational materials for the website
- Develop engaging lesson plans and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Update educational materials and lesson plans based on student feedback
- Use a variety of creative and innovative techniques to engage and inspire students.
Live lesson delivery:
- Delivering 2x live lessons per week that are interactive and engaging
- Running half term masterclasses to your allocated small group of students, offering bespoke support
Personalised student support:
- Oversee a small group of students, creating personalised learning goals and helping them execute these plans
- Marking a set amount of work for each student per half term
- Provide a progress report for each of your students every half term
Which results you’ll be responsible for:
Material development:
- Create learning and revision resources that directly address and solve students’ pain points and needs within the given topic.
- Simplify complex concepts to make them accessible for all students, regardless of their ability and level
Live lessons:
- Ensure students are actively engaged during each live lesson and motivated to return every week
- Enable students to leave each live lesson having gained a new skill or a deeper level of understanding
- Effectively connect individual concepts to help improve students' overall grades and confidence
Personalised student support:
- Ensure assessments are thorough and help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement
- Track and support students' academic growth, aiming for noticeable improvements in their grades and understanding over the half term
We are looking for:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (required)
Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (required)
- Experience as a GCSE English Examiner (preferred)
