Segment Controller Ultrasound-GE Healthcare Job Description Summary
GE Healthcare (GEHC) is currently an $18B segment of General Electric Company (GE). It will be spun off from GE and is expected to operate as a standalone public company early 2023. With the spin-off of GEHC, this position will be responsible for providing overall controllership support for the Ultrasound Segment (ULS Segment or the Segment) with ~$3 billion in Revenue. The Ultrasound Segment Controller is a new role for GEHC and is responsible for ensuring compliance with GEHC policies and procedures as they relate to technical/operational accounting for transactions, drafting and review of external SEC disclosures for these Segments, and oversight of segment financial closing and reporting activities.

The role will initially involve establishing the overall controllership framework for the Segment as referenced above, because of the recently announced spin-off. After the spin-off, the role will be responsible for the ongoing controllership execution and management for the Segment. Ideal candidates should have experience in accounting, financial reporting and closing/consolidation in addition to solid skills in problem solving, verbal and written communication, and working cross functionally in a global organization
