General Manager - Workspace

Build Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading Property and Facilities Management company to make the key appointment of General Manager (workspace) in Birmingham.


The company is responsible for managing some of the largest mixed-use and multi-purpose property portfolios across the UK and is currently seeking an experienced General Manager to be responsible for delivering all operations and customer related services across a multi-tenanted property portfolio and its tenants/occupants.


Based in the heart of Birmingham central, and breaking the mould of traditional multi-tenanted buildings, the portfolio consists of stunning and flexible workspace as well as impressive retail and leisure units.


The General Manager will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day client activities for the assigned property and facility, and be the on-site key point of contact for key stakeholders.


Additionally, the General Manager will be responsible for overall responsibility for site budgets, accounting and finance, maintenance and operations, contract services, purchasing of material, equipment & supplies, occupancy services and helpdesk.


Key to the success of this role is understanding the client's objective and instructions in relation to the property as well as establishing and managing a property strategy with a view to providing a high standard of customer service.


Requirements:

Due to the intricate nature of this role and the vast array of stakeholders, it is expected that applicants will have a degree or RICS equivalent qualification in facilities management, building, business, or related field or relevant experience in facilities and property management.


Multi-tenanted property portfolio experience is essential for this role.


Benefits:

Circa £55,000 per annum.

25 days annual leave + bank holidays + 1 wellbeing day.

Sector leading contributory pension scheme.

1 day per week working from home.
