Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum
- Provide support and guidance to students, promoting their understanding and enjoyment of geography
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
- Regularly communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and any concerns
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and keep up-to-date with educational advancements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching geography at the primary or secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational best practices
