Responsibilities
- Deliver well-structured and engaging Geography lessons to students of varying age groups and abilities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to the individual needs of students
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in Geography teaching
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, achievements, and behavior
- Actively participate in school activities, such as meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences
- Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching Geography in a primary or secondary school setting
- Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and current teaching methods in Geography
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passionate about education and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
