Job Description
We are working with a market-leading structural engineering fabricator, with a global presence. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to hire a German-speaking Design and Development Engineer to support their clients in the DACH region.
What we are looking for:
A detail orientated individual, with a background in either structural and civil engineering or an engineering design business, ideally with experience of primary and/or secondary steel structures. The Application engineer will be a key point of contact for clients across the DACH region, providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Developing technical solutions to meet with customer requirements
- Use of AutoCAD / SolidWorks to create drawings for customers, producing customer-specific solutions
- Responding to client requests, wither directly or in conjunction with the sales team. Using their knowledge of static mechanics to develop the best solution for the project
Requirements:
- HNC in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Ability to produce, read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and problem solving skills and an ability to work as part of a close-knit team
- German language proficiency
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude
