Job Description

Global marketing lead for Global Businesses and Partnerships, providing strategic marketing support and direction. The goal of this team is to support a portfolio of existing and new solutions and partnerships to ensure customers understand their value and want to choose Control Risks. This is done by applying the right propositions and marketing campaigns to ensure we are hitting the right client touch points and, based on performance, we refine our approach. The portfolio includes (but is not limited to): our flagship risk and security buyer solution Control Risks ONE (our 24/7 global risk operations capability), third party risk and due diligence solution Control Risks VANTAGE, strategic partnerships with Hiscox and Seerist etc. This role is a maternity cover and will be part of the Global Marketing leadership team tasked with developing and leading global execution of marketing plans that support commercial goals and value for Control Risks’s clients. 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop strategic, actionable marketing and communication plans that enhance the brand, generates leads and builds and converts pipeline from existing lead and contact data for key global solutions.
  • Collaborate with global buyer marketing leads to ensure consistency in propositions across the buyer journey and marketing funnel.
  • Work closely with regional marketing counterparts to ensure activation of campaigns in growth markets, to include cross promotion and solution positioning within key regionally produced campaigns.
  • Manage relationships with marketing counterparts at Hiscox and Seerist. Build partnership strategies and identify opportunities for cross promotion and cross selling.
  • Own marketing outputs from ideation to execution and use best practice marketing techniques. Base decision making on trading and marketing performance data to refocus plans and activity where needed. Report on marketing performance to senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with client facing teams to ensure hand over of marketing leads into sales pipeline and provide sales enablement materials.
  • Leverage organic and paid digital acquisition channels tracking an optimising spend based on targeting strategies.
  • Identify and qualify external events for relevance to Control Risks, working with regional marketing teams to link in with other buyer initiatives.
  • Support and drive production of valuable and engaging digital content that attracts and our target buyers and supports brand awareness. Promote content via engagement and nurture campaigns to aid with conversion of leads into opportunities.
  • Manage the GB&P marketing budget and allocate funds accordingly. Working with key business stakeholders to ensure all budget gains agreed ROI and is linked to strategic initiatives.
  • Manage CRM marketing lists to ensure data quality control, GDPR compliance and efficiencies.
  • Manage and motivate a team of three (two marketing managers and one marketing executive).

Who You Are:

  • Significant, recent and relevant B2B marketing experience, ideally in a professional services environment, with managerial experience.
  • Strong digital marketing knowledge.
  • Experience of working in a matrix structured organisation and management of multiple senior and executive level stakeholders.
  • Excellent copywriting skills (online and offline).
  • Experience with marketing software and CRM systems including lead and conversion tracking (particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Click Dimensions).
  • Good organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player and resourceful- willing to get stuck in.
  • Excellent fluency in written and verbal English.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or comparable.
  • CIM or other professional marketing qualifications desirable.
  • Proven multitasking abilities.
  • Analytical, with attention to detail.
  • Interest in social media and CRM systems.
  • Interest in international affairs, the current business environment, world economics.
