Allwyn Group is a multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence in Austria, the Czech Republic, UK, Greece, Cyprus, Italy and USA. Allwyn became the operator of the UK National Lottery in February 2024.

Allwyn is looking for a Global Corporate Communications Manager who will be reporting directly to the Global Communications Director. Corporate Communications Manager will deliver activity to establish, build and sustain the reputation that Allwyn needs to succeed. As part of this you will:

  • Manage and implement programmes to communicate Allwyn’s bold new vision and impressive business performance to our audiences.
  • Manage Allwyn’s corporate reputation with the media, key opinion formers, third parties and other key external stakeholders.
  • Minimise or moderate adverse media coverage and online comment of Allwyn.
  • Oversee agency relationships to ensure activities are delivered to brief, budget and timeline.
  • Deliver a seamless integration between traditional and digital media to create one message, globally, always on.
  • Support the Global Communications Director and Head of Media & Campaigns in key reputation building activities.
  • Work with markets to leverage the best of their work and to ensure Allwyn Group messaging and initiatives are optimised at a market level.


The role encompasses the following key activities and responsibilities:

  • Run the global editorial calendar to ensure visibility and efficiency across multiple international teams.
  • Manage the proactive and reactive inbound press office to ensure appropriate stakeholders are briefed, responses are generated to deadline.
  • Write and distribute press releases, arrange interviews, generate case studies, and draft features with journalists.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to reinforce Allwyn’s corporate reputation in key spaces.
  • Design and manage communications plans to leverage Allwyn’s partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Create briefings, presentations and media assets which support the delivery of the corporate communications initiatives and programmes.
  • Manage the external relationships that Allwyn needs to build and protect its reputation and establish trust.
  • Deliver programmes and activities across channels and audiences with consistent brand messaging and engaging content.
  • Maintain Allwyn’s global corporate website with engaging content and other external facing collateral including the Annual Report.
  • Manage Allwyn group and exec level LinkedIn and social media content.
  • Develop assets for use to explain further the Allwyn story including brand videos and hype reels.
  • Prepare reactive statements for issues that are negatively affecting the Allwyn brand.
  • Maintain the asset database for our international colleagues and executive teams.



Key Measures of Success:

  • The external communications components of the corporate affairs strategy are successfully implemented.
  • Allwyn’s external messages are clearly and consistently communicated to all key stakeholders who have an enhanced appreciation of the value of the organisation.
  • Allwyn’s external content is of a high quality, persuasively written and highly impactful.
  • Negative media coverage and online commentary of Allwyn is minimised as much as possible with any inaccuracies quickly corrected as appropriate.
  • The external communications team at Allwyn feels a strong sense of purpose, and they are clear about the roles they each play.


What do you need to succeed?

  • Native-level English speaker/ writer.
  • An ability to think ahead and anticipate issues as they might arise.
  • A deep understanding of media relations and digital communications.
  • A proven track record of working with print and broadcast media, ideally internationally.
  • Excellent creative writing skills including an ability to convey complex ideas or concepts in an engaging manner.
  • Strong organisational and management skills coupled with an inclusive manner that engages effectively with a wide range of different team members and functions across an organisation.
  • An understanding of media measurement and insight tools.
  • An ability to undertake out-of-hours duties on occasion to accommodate a news orientated environment and to support the duty press officers.
  • An appreciation of the importance of offering social value through communication and engagement activities.
  • Efficient budget management.

This position will be London-based, however frequent travel would be required (mostly across Europe).
