Play a pivotal role in the Leadership of a world class subsea business
As a Global Engineering Leader for New Product Introduction you will lead a multidiscipline and culturally diverse team that provide smarter technology for more efficient monitoring, maximum production and reduced risk. You will be responsible for shaping and coordinating a portfolio of new product designs and have overall responsibility for the schedule, scope and budget of the projects which feed into the business's multi generation product and technology plans.
You will also be responsible for:

  • Hiring, developing and maintaining a successful and high-quality NPI engineering population while strengthening morale and cohesion across the teams
  • Establishing a solid, unified plan for NPI to meet cost, innovation, quality and technology goals for customer and internal projects
  • Leading cross-functional project teams throughout the entire Project Life Cycle working in close collaboration with product management and other engineering functions in a matrix structure
  • Making critical and informed investment decisions on patents and driving these for collective leadership approval
  • Attending industry conferences and networking events to keep abreast of innovation and evangelising these to encourage creative thinking
  • Leading in house projects to fruition including structured and standardisation through to cutting edge innovation requiring resource and finance allocation
  • Applying existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to facilitate the continuous improvement and innovation of new products and technologies

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Batchelors degree in an engineering related subject
  • Demonstrate a solid technical and commercial understanding of products and applications that relate to the subsea sector
  • Be highly adept and innovative in the processes and procedures required for successful New Product Introduction and New Technology Introduction in a complex engineering function
  • Be an agile and creative thinker to fully understand customer needs, business goals and translate requirements into actionable results
  • Have the tenacity to work across organisational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures
  • Have a natural ability to engage, inspire, influence and build trusted relationships with teams across the business
  • Demonstrate determination and perseverance in ambiguous situations
  • Have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences
