This role is perfect for a Social Media Manager who loves to build a brand through exciting social initiatives and thinks holistically about the relationship between online and offline in order to create and execute strategic social media plans to a global audience.

In this role, the successful candidate would collaborate with and be the main contact point for all disciplines within the global marketing team (Design Studio, Content Creation, Marketing, Email/Paid/Search/Affiliates, Business Intelligence) in order to coordinate and manage the development of strong social media executions. They would also act as the key point of contact for the wider in-market Sales/Enrollment organization in order to ensure the highest level of collaboration between all key stakeholders on a global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organic social content strategy
    • Drive brand awareness, affinity and engagement throughout all key social media platforms and in line with Hult's brand positioning and DNA
    • Research and develop relevant content strategies to reach Hult's target audience
    • Create organic social campaigns that encourage social share and engagement, working with design, content, and technical teams
    • Manage and support one social media executive for the daily social media scheduling and posting
    • Analyze campaigns and translate qualitative data into recommendations and plans for social media & content marketing
    • Develop weekly/monthly content calendars based on data and KPIs – initiate multi-platform posting and social listening via a social media management platform (Sprout Social)
    • Work closely with Paid Social Media manager to optimize campaigns and target audience groups
    • Develop strategies that not only targets potential students, but also current and past students (i.e. alums) to increase referrals
    • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring impact of social media campaigns
    • Responsible for media budget allocated for content distribution (for example, boosting) and all social media tools
  • Manage Influencers and Communities
    • Develop and expand community and/or influence outreach efforts
    • Oversee Hult's Ambassador program (comprised of Hult students) - from selection of ambassadors to executing social posts and events
    • Monitor, listen, and respond to users across all social channels – manage Hult's brand reputation and reviews across platforms
    • Coordinate with events marketing team to promote and produce social events
    • Continuously improve the chatbot logic to better respond to the ever growing queries via social media channels
  • Become Hult's Social Channel Champion
    • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies, monitoring trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
    • Become an internal champion, and help train others in the marketing team
    • Conduct ongoing education to remain highly effective.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of digital marketing
  • Passionate about Organic Social Strategies and keeping up with trends
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop relationships within an international work environment and inspire others - works well with a wide range of people from different parts of the business and have the ability and desire to travel globally
  • Maintains excellent English writing and speaking skills
  • Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
  • Practices superior time management
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (i.e., content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
  • Possesses evident technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
  • Must have the ability to adapt to brand voices.
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment

Education & Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Instagram and other social media best practices
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop is a must and Premier Pro a plus
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Experience with social media tools, such as HootSuite or Sprout Social
  • Experience in working with creative teams - from briefing, feedback, to deployment
  • Experience in running community groups on Facebook, Reddit, etc.
  • Experience with audience and persona research
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
  • Working knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, a plus
  • Great interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Superior written and spoken English skills
