GMB North-East, Yorkshire & Humber Region currently has a vacancy for a Regional Head of Campaigns.
GMB North-East, Yorkshire & Humber region is a dynamic campaigning region. As the largest region in GMB we are looking for someone who can bring passion and drive to complement the industrial focus of the region. We are a bottom up organising region. Our aim is to empower workers to build industrial power in order to make work better.
Main responsibilities will include working with our Regional Leadership Team to help coordinate the communication, political and campaign development strategy of the Region. Our primary focus and most important audience is our own membership, and the role will focus on working with our Regional Organisers in strengthening our internal communication and campaigning capacity, as well as coordinating all external facing communication to increase the profile of GMB and achieve GMB industrial, political and campaign objectives.
Informationabout the role:
- The successful post-holder will be expected to attend regional or national meetings/events.
- The hours of work for this post are designated as ‘unspecified’, and there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to work unsocial hours, which may include some weekend or evening work, when required by the role.
