JOB OVERVIEW; Software Developer / Senior Software Developer / Go / Golang Application Developer(Golang, high availablity, REST API, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Linux, CI/CD, Jenkins, Grafana, AWS)sought by exciting technology company start-up (established 2014) and provider of digital marketing optimisation SaaS solutions, integration services and professional services within Big Data, adtech and marketing solutions. CONTRACT TYPE; Permanent employment contract OR long-term contractor on a reasonable £ daily rate SALARY / RATE; Negotiable depending on ability (£80K-£100K region for permanent) and experience plus generous pre-IPO stock allocation! Contractor rates - negotiable LOCATION; My client has offices in London and Cologne, Germany however you may work remotely!..with just very occasional trips to an office e.g once/twice a year on average. Their clients maintain the highest level of control over customer data and privacy by establishing their own marketing ID across any digital channel and product domain. THE ROLE; We are recruiting for a new position of Golang ApplicationDeveloper reporting directly to the Head of Development, who can integrate with our existing development team and identify and drive prioritised builds. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING; Ensure timely delivery of new capabilities. Ensure quality of code and high performance of applications. Review and maintain code guidelines and conduct code review. Work with other developers and product managers to plan and estimate the teams work. Mentor junior developers if you are ready... and/or external resources to accelerate the build CANDIDATE PROFILE; You should be a good match to much of the following but we're NOT expecting you to have ALL of these skills!...but a good attitude towards learning what you don't have! BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field Proven programming skills in Golang. Ability to design and build scalable, high-performant, resilient applications running 24/7/365. Hands-on experience of integrating with external systems and identity providers using REST API, OAuth2 and OIDC. Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases. Experience with unit and integration tests creation Advanced knowledge of Git version control system. Ability to work in Unix/Linux environments, also in the terminal. Knowledge of CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins). Experience with analytics and monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana). Understanding of data security approaches and standards.
