The JOB

We are seeking energetic and highly motivated engineers who will work within our Technology team, documenting and designing infrastructure systems for telecommunications/data structured cabling, audio-visual, security, network, and/or wireless systems for various architectural projects. A degree in Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering, Product Design or Electrical and Electronic Engineering or an ICT related degree are preferred. However, we will consider all qualified candidates for this role. We are expecting this role to commence from September 2024 onwards, and it can be based at either our London or Manchester office.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available to join our specialist group, ME Technology, working on internationally recognised projects. ME Engineers are a leading Engineering, Technology and Audio-Visual Consulting firm for Sports Facilities. You will integrate with all design disciplines and specialists to establish client requirements and provide engineered solutions to meet the clients’ expectations and budgets. You will be working with an experienced team, who will help you grow professionally, to assist delivery of this critical element of our built environment engineering solutions. This is a great opportunity for the right person to gain fantastic experience within a unique and energetic team atmosphere dealing with the world’s most iconic venues.

YOUR Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree in Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering Product Design or Electrical and Electronic Engineering or an ICT related degree are preferred.
  • Report writing (English), sketching and producing single line diagrams (demonstrated through final year projects and / or work experience during studying).
  • Experience with software packages, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and potentially Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT (2D / 3D).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A commitment to continued education, self-learning and continuing professional development (CPD) to assist your personal development and progression within the company.
  • Ability to manage task delivery in a fast-paced environment to meet agreed timescales and deadlines.
  • Able to apply policies relating to health and safety, quality and training.
  • Able to build professional relationships with consultants, architects and engineers from other organisations and companies.
  • Strong organisational skills and work ethic.

Additional information/requirements

Short stay ad-hoc UK and international travel may be required (typically Europe and Middle East).

Initially the role will be onsite, but there will be the potential for hybrid working after a qualifying period.
