Stitchco Fashion Designer

We are seeking a skilled jersey designer with a passion for women’s jersey fashion, dedicated to delivering high-quality designs and contributing to the growth of our business across multiple leading international high street brands. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively. In this role you will be responsible for creating seasonal, trend-led ranges aligned with customer demand and budget constraints. This role is in person, based in Manchester, offering a competitive salary based on experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop new fashion garments and research ideas to create products that align with the customer brand vision.
• Transform conceptual ideas into tangible product design concepts, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and market trends.
• Produce detailed technical CAD drawings/artwork packs.
• Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of fabric and manufacturing processes.
• Apply knowledge of garment construction to produce professional design packs.
• Incorporate an understanding of sales and cost-effective design principles.
• Take ideas from concept to the creation of initial specifications through to the production
• of initial samples.
• Maintain regular communication with factories.
• Manage and track al new developments, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and provide
• constructive feedback for garment refinement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion design or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator design software.
• Minimum 1-year experience in similar role.
• Strong design an CAD skill with an eye for detail.
• Graphic design capability.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with international factories and
• the internal design team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring design feasibility and adherence to
• specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines.
