BAM is a fast growing, truly sustainable, ecommerce activewear business. The company was set up in 2006 by David Gordon who wanted to prove a sustainable business could be commercially successful. Identifying bamboo as one of the planet’s most sustainable crops, which could be made into supersoft performance fabrics, inspired him to create BAM, the first bamboo clothing company in Europe.

Having achieved years of double-digit growth, whilst staying true to our core values of putting people and planet first, BAM is now looking for new talent to join our team, to contribute to, and be part of, our exciting next stage of growth.

About the Graphic Designer Role

Join a collaborative, creative team as a graphic designer working to maintain and improve the visual identity of a purpose-driven brand. If you enjoy an environment where you can challenge yourself working across a range of creative outputs, and where every day is different, this role will be ideal.

Working with a compact, experienced design team of 3 within a company of 70 people, you will be working across digital, email, and print design. On top of this, you’ll get the opportunity to support with photoshoots for new seasons of clothing, assisting with research, planning, creative direction, and image selection. This is a great role for someone who loves fashion, loves sustainability, and wants to be a part of that world!

The experience overview

Experience: We are looking for an accomplished Graphic Designer with the confidence and ability to tackle projects with minimal direction. Someone who can hit the ground running, roll their sleeves up and quickly become a key member of this hardworking and fun-loving team.

Imagery: We are looking for someone with an eye for selecting the very best images and creating beautiful crops, to then go on and create world class assets with, bringing the imagery to life in exciting and fresh new ways.

Typography: The candidate will need to be adept in typography, demonstrating skills such as composition, hierarchy, contrast, whitespace etc.

Branding: Combining words, typography, and imagery together to inspire customers and create an emotional connection to the brand via various consumer touchpoints.

Fashion: Whilst you don’t need background in fashion, we are looking for someone with a natural interest in fashion brands, ideally someone inspired by women’s clothing (particularly activewear and adventure/outdoors).

Organisation: As a small team there is need, particularly during busy periods, for strong organisational and time management skills, in order to assist the team with the less creative tasks and work collaboratively to ensure all objectives and goals are achieved.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Proven track record working as a graphic designer in a design agency or in-house role.
  • A strong portfolio of relevant work.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD/Figma) + Microsoft Office.
  • Delivers high quality results within short timeframes and can work under pressure.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
