Great Corporate Legal Counsel (1PQE) for a leading Global “Blue-Chip” business, Berkshire, Excellent package + Progression opportunities!



Background:

We are working with an international “Blue-Chip” organisation, that is looking for an exceptional Corporate Legal Counsel based in Berkshire to join its growing, award winning, global legal team. The Legal team is a dynamic, friendly, colligate, external and internal-facing function which supports all aspects of the business across the globe.


As Legal Counsel, you will work closely with the Head of Legal and the General Counsel based in Berkshire. You will have exposure to a broad range of work all being done at a global scale with multi-jurisdictional challenges, ranging from:



The Role:

Assisting with corporate and commercial legal work across the group.

Partnering with the corporate development/M&A team on strategy and opportunities in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

Liaising with other members of the wider global legal team as well as wider corporate project teams.

Assisting on corporate restructurings and other ad hoc corporate related work.

The role will also offer the opportunity to work as a key member of the wider global legal team on group level projects, such as business operational improvement projects, financings and reorganisations.

Assisting in preparing, negotiating of corporate transactions, and related, documentation to ensure the business interests are protected.

Provide general commercial legal advice and support on a range of issues including IP, Data Protection, Litigation, etc.



What You’ll Need:

1+ PQE lawyer with strong academic background. Qualified in UK (England & Wales) or another major jurisdiction.

Experience working on corporate M&A transactions.

Proactive, rather than passive, approach to deals is essential.

Effective team player able to work in a close-knit team.

An enthusiastic and engaged attitude with excellent people skills and a good, clear communication style.

Impeccable commercial and business judgment, with an ability to read the room.

Effective negotiation skills.
