An interesting Lifestyle business is looking for a seasoned Group CFO/FD to join their Exec team to help facilitate and manage its strong growth trajectory as it continues to grow its business interests.

With a variety of interests that include Product design & build, Property and much more, the company is about to embark on a round of fundraising and requires an experienced CFO to work with the founding partners to drive this forward.


Reporting to the joint founding CEOs, the Group CFO will be expected to take a “hands-on”, collaborative approach taking overall responsibility for the group finance function. The individual will take a leading role in investor relations including future funding rounds, financial strategy, budget/cost control, forecasting/financial presentations, and company secretarial compliance. The right person will be expected to have a continued positive impact within the company and play an increasingly pivotal role, in driving growth and delivering the ambitious, yet achievable business plans.


To be a suitable candidate it is essential that you are a professional accountant with extensive post-qualified experience. This is an important role within the business that will challenge any talented CFO with a broad and commercial finance background, who relishes the challenge of a changing landscape! To be considered you must have proven multi-deal experience in fundraising, refinancing and acquisitions, including preparing deal packs, forecasting models, and presenting to external stakeholders, existing funders and potential funders at institutional level.


You will need an abundance of energy and possess the relevant experience required to ensure the business has the right financial processes and reporting resilience necessary for investors.

This is a hands-on, detail-orientated, quality-focused role that requires an individual with a proven combination of sound financial leadership, proven business effectiveness and a history of managing large fundraising processes.


Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage and deliver financial information required for fundraising, including preparing and delivering presentations
  • Manage all financial accounting operations, policies, and systems across the group, to include functional areas such as investments, taxes, legal, loans, equity and debt financing.
  • Managing forecasting and delivery of financial presentations to the leadership team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the budgeting cycle and ensure compliance with cost control.
  • Financial planning and cash flow forecasting and the provision of commercially focused management information and advice to support the profitable development of the business
  • Owning and presenting where required all internal and external reporting; including annual and interim reports, corporate governance and statutory requirements
  • Review and analyse financial information, identifying risks and opportunities for profit/cash improvements and executing
  • Oversee relationships and deadlines with auditors, tax advisers and accounting service providers.
  • Managing all accounting implications of business changes and reporting standards.
  • Managing internal control processes, Tax compliance and planning, and treasury management


Candidate specifications:

  • Fully qualified chartered accountant with sound technical and commercial skills and extensive PQE and strong board level exposure
  • Substantial multi-deal experience in fundraising, refinancing and acquisitions, including preparing deal packs, forecasting models, and presenting to external stakeholders, existing funders and potential funders at institutional level
  • Good commercial exposure, M&A experience alongside a proven background in managing organic growth
  • A strong leader who is effective at both leading a team and building trusted working relationships within an Exec team
  • Ability to advise and assist the Board pro-actively in formulating the ongoing strategic direction and establishing strategic partnerships with third parties to facilitate the growth of the company.
