Zeelo is growing and scaling fast. We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to support our growth. You will be part of the Group Finance team responsible for financial control and reporting.
You will take a leading role on our external audit and statutory reporting requirements and assisting to accelerate our monthly financial close processes.
We’re looking for an engaging communicator with an eye for detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment solving problems and challenges.

What you’ll do
- Lead the Statutory accounting and reporting process across all our regions (UK, US, South Africa, Spain)
- Liaise with external accountants in each region to manage SLAs and growth in accounting requirements
- Ownership of the Balance Sheet and all reconciliation and control processes
- Manage all inter-company relationships and financing agreements, optimising as required
- Manage all cosec reporting relating to Zeelo and its subsidiaries
- Provide accounting advice to the CFO and Head of Finance (HOF)
- Review tax structuring for the group, liaising with external parties where necessary
- Managing group audit processes with support from HOF
- Manage all annual submissions for R&D and tax credits, including accounting and narratives to maximise returns
- Supporting with month end close processes as required by the HOF
- Assist with projects to provide analysis and improve the quality and timeliness of group reporting
What makes you a good fit for the role
- Fully qualified with background in statutory reporting / financial accounting
- UK GAAP / IFRS reporting experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to work in a changing environment, proactively responding to changing requirements
- Works well as part of a team but is a self-starter and can work independently
- M&A experience and accounting for integrations
- Microsoft Office, Google workspace, Slack, Advanced Excel, Xero (or other accounting systems)
