THE COMPANY
The company is a dynamic, growing, acquisitive and profitable enterprise in the construction sector. With a strong track record and current revenues in excess of £100m, management have plans for continued year on year increased revenues and business diversification.
They are now seeking an ambitious and technically strong Group Financial Controller to support the CFO.
THE POSITION
As Group Financial Controller, the position will report to and support the CFO. The intention is for the position to develop in the near future to become Finance Director with increased responsibilities and scope.
Key responsibilities include:
- Production of Management Information, business and financial analysis.
- Forecasting, budgeting and cashflows.
- Monthly management accounting and annual statutory accounts.
- Day to day financial control.
- Management and development of the finance team.
- Accounting and finance systems development and review.
- Liaison with operations and management as appropriate.
- Ad hoc projects.
- Support the CFO across the finance function and related business.
- VAT returns and input to tax planning.
THE CANDIDATE
Candidates should have a recognised accounting qualification with several years post qualification experience in a financial controller or similar senior finance role. You should be technically strong with ambition and the personality to develop in a dynamic, non-hierarchical, growth and entrepreneurial environment. Construction or related sector experience is strongly preferred.
The salary banding advertised is a guideline, the remuneration offered will be commensurate upon experience.
