Job Title: Group HR Director

Location: Birmingham – Hybrid

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 plus benefits depending upon experience

About Us: Concept – IT is delighted to be working with a newly formed group of companies, as they look to recruit an experienced Group HR Director. This organisation is very much on a journey of growth and have ambitious plans grow both organically and via acquisition. With a robust portfolio and a commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a dynamic Group HR Director to join our executive team and lead our human resources strategy during this exciting phase of growth and innovation.

Role Overview: As the Group HR Director, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the HR vision and strategy across the group companies. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep experience in private equity, who can drive organisational effectiveness, foster a high-performance culture, and align HR initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support the overall business objectives and drive growth across our portfolio companies.
  • Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure we attract and retain top talent.
  • Organisational Development: Lead initiatives to enhance organizational design, effectiveness, and change management processes.
  • Performance Management: Establish and maintain performance management systems that promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, driving employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Design competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with market standards and support our talent strategy.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR policies and practices comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risk and promoting best practices.
  • Executive Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and portfolio company executives to provide HR insights and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Ideally CIPD Level 7 qualified
  • Experience: Significant experience in a similar rolewithin a private equity environment.
  • Skills: Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. Experience with organizational development and change management.
  • Attributes: High level of integrity, strong analytical skills, and a results-oriented mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
