Title: Group Legal Counsel (Corporate/Commercial) – Leading Global Sports and Betting Organisation

Salary: Competitive base salary (top of the market for the industry)

Benefits: Generous bonus structure, hybrid working (2 days a week in the London office), and an excellent pension scheme.


The Role

This is a rare opportunity to join the inquisitive legal team of a global leader in the betting and gaming sector. You will split your time between corporate and commercial legal matters, supporting key transactions and advising on critical legal issues with significant business impact.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in executing transactions such as joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals, and reorganizations.
  • Drafting and negotiating NDAs and transaction documentation.
  • Collaborating closely with teams across Corporate Development, Finance, Compliance, and Tax.
  • Drafting a wide variety of commercial contracts, including IT and software licensing agreements, and sponsorship deals with celebrity ambassadors.
  • Providing legal advice on marketing promotions, ASA guidelines, and consumer regulations.
  • Updating customer-facing terms and conditions on websites and apps.

You:

  • 3-5+ PQE with proven M&A and ideally some commercial experience.
  • A background in private practice or in-house, with strong academic credentials.
  • A collaborative, detail-oriented team player with a flexible, commercial mindset.
