We are seeking a highly motivated and safety conscious individual to manage our utilities hard services on our contract for a primary care 800 bed NHS hospital in Reading.
What will you be doing?
Responsibility for commercial and technical management of the hard services within our contract at our client site. Developing key client relationships and mutually developing and leading a high performance team delivering world class hard facilities services. Management of site team, sub-contractors and co-ordination of activities. Becoming Appointed Person for items within technical scope, e.g. Ventilation, Electrical Distribution, Medical Gases. Executing maintenance and calibration programme for equipment. Leading and directing engineering technical support team to ensure equipment optimisation, reliability and availability. Directing the operations team across key systems, e.g. LTHW, electrical distribution, air handling systems, drainage. Developing long-term strategic direction in liaison with client. Reporting of key KPI's on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Ensuring all safety and environmental excursions are tracked, monitored and reported to the appropriate department/body and investigated. Development of operational team. Commercial input including responsibility for cost control, budgetary management, forecasting and internal reporting. Designing and implementing a pathway to move the asset maintenance to a Reliability Centred Maintenance model.
What are we looking for?
Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in mechanical/building services or electrical/building services. Management experience in an industrial utilities environment. Demonstrable Health and Safety experience. Previous experience of operating within a regulated environment. Ability to develop and deliver presentations at both client and internal levels.
