Job Description
We are recruiting for an Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our client's Flight Avionics division.
This role is based in Crawley with some flexibility to work from home. There will be however, times during the project lifecycle where hands on work and/or close teamwork will require a higher percentage of site based work.
The Electronics Hardware Engineer will work on the development and delivery of products and programmes to a wide variety of customers in the aerospace sector; covering both the Civil and Military domains. This could include;
The development of our next generation SATCOM Terminal for the civil airline market
The development of our next generation Tactical Mission Management System or Secure Information System for military helicopter platforms
Supporting one of the several studies we are undertaking to shape the future of aircraft connectivity
Working as part of an innovative and multi-disciplinary team of engineers and will be responsible for the design and development of analogue and mixed signal electronic designs and ensuring they are a high quality, manufacturability and performance robust, in a timely manner.
Proven ability / Key Skills
Proven ability of design of analogue & mixed signal electronics equipment
Development electronic products in a formal environment ideally Avionics.
Good understanding of IPC standards and PCB Layout rules
Knowledge of Engineering Process and lifecycles.
Appreciation of the fundamentals of: RF, digital, electro-mechanical and mechanical engineering
PC Literate: Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
Self motivated, good communicator, delivery focussed with excellent attention to detail is essential
