Head Housekeeper Job In Colchester

JSW has an exciting new role for an experienced Housekeeping Manager to work for a large, successful leisure and holiday business. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in heading up the housekeeping for a large volume hotel, resort, contract cleaners, care home, hospital or holiday park. This role is fast paced within a high pressure environment ensuring hotel rooms and holiday lets are presented to the highest quality with enhanced new cleaning procedure to create the a very high standard room experience their holiday makers have grown to expect.

With fantastic leadership skills and strategic mind set, the Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning department, ensuring company standards are met and their guests are provided with a positive, lasting impression.

The Job Role:

• To supervise the smooth and efficient operation of all housekeeping activities for up to 5000 guests a week in peak season.
• Manage two managers and in excess of 80 cleaners.
• To manage the payroll, recruitment and training all cleaning team.
• Ensure a smooth operation of the linen room.
• To liaise regularly with the Maintenance Department with regard to accommodation maintenance.
• Responsibility for the purchase of all cleaning materials and maintain adequate stocks whilst controlling expenditure in line with company budget.
• To be aware of and responsible for all contract cleaning.

The Person

• Must be a strategic manager with excellent leadership skills.
• Strong organisational and people management skills, Self-motivated, enthusiastic and extremely customer focused.
• Previous experience within a similar role
• Basic knowledge of IT.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
