We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-qualified and skilled practitioner to lead the Art Department. St. Mark’s is an outstanding school and we are committed to excellence across the curriculum. As Subject Leader/Head of Art, we would expect you to have a passion for the subject and the ability to teach from KS3 - KS5.
We are committed to providing a broad curriculum at St. Mark's and Art is a key element of this provision. Art is taught as a discrete subject throughout Key Stage 3, and students follow the Edexcel specification at GCSE and A Level.
The Department is based in two large adjoining rooms on the ground floor of the school's main building. There is easy access to the prayer garden which is used as a resource and the department benefits from being in close proximity to the graphics and resistant materials workshops. A kiln facilitates the production of clay work in all years.
