The chosen candidate will be responsible for leading their function; managing and developing a team of full desk recruiters, owning the departmental budget, and ultimately, look to continue to scale the divisions via organic growth and succession planning to build on the current management team.

About the role

The Head of Automation Contract specifically focuses in the Process Controls and Automation industry, where we have an exceptional reputation and go to market strategy within the industry globally which allows this individual to inherit established candidate pools, a strong client database and multiple MSA/PSL agreements to leverage off of immediately.

The team will be made up of 360 senior recruitment consultants with a range of experience.

This is a unique opportunity to take over and lead an already very successful and high performing division within the London office, who have an existing contract book on track to finish circa £1.9m NFI in 2024 with a remit to continue and scale further.

In addition to our extensive sales database, our marketing function will actively be performing outbound marketing campaigns to raise brand awareness within this community and to provide marketing qualified leads for the team

Key responsibilities

  • Targeting new clients and top tier talent while acting as a consultant between the candidate and client, coaching both through the interview process.
  • Offer recommendations and educate clients and candidates of current talent market conditions
  • Lead a team of specialized 360/full desk Automation recruiters, being a recruiting business partner, and subject matter expert
  • Allocate your sales and recruiting team to current open positions, proactive searches and set sales/recruiting KPI’s
  • Work closely with the Senior Business Leader of Contracts to build out operations and strategy for organization
  • Mentor, coach and develop a high-performing recruiting team
  • Expertly communicate and provide timely feedback, expectations, and accountability for results to your team.
  • Assist in achieving weekly placement goals.

What you bring to the table:

  • Years working a 360/full-desk model while managing multiple client relationships & accounts
  • Preferably experience in contract/temp recruitment
  • Experience recruiting in the Engineering and Manufacturing space with a specialty in Automation and Process Control, or similar markets; preferred
  • Experience managing high performing teams and leaders
  • Proven track record in developing your own business and billings within a niche (candidate and client short) vertical discipline
  • Desire to grow a function to large scale while managing and developing recruitment consultants and future leaders
  • Positive attitude and an engaging business-like approach
