Job Description

We’re working exclusively with this international provider of childcare as they continue their search for a Head of Brand for their expanding business. It’s an opportunity which will suit someone who is looking to take the next step upwards in their career as the role will involve implementation as well as the obvious strategic elements. With only one day in the office (Monday) this might suit candidates who live in the Midlands and slightly further afield.

A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.

The role:

As Head of Brand you will report into the European Marketing Director, taking responsibility for all brand strategy and reputation, external communications, research, customer performance and retention and inter-departmental marketing support. As a business, they operate on a world-wide basis, but your role will be to manage the Brand for the European marketing which currently includes the UK, Ireland and Italy, but may expand to other countries in the medium term.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver effective short, medium, and long-term brand strategies to achieve KPIs, including brand awareness, consideration, and media coverage.

  • Effectively manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Measure and optimise initiatives that have a direct impact on the performance of centres.
  • Manage and optimise the brand budget.

What we’re looking for:

To be considered for this role we’re looking for someone who is very commercially driven and has gained experience working within a branding team in a consumer focussed business. You must be able to demonstrate strong experience of brand research and insights and you’ll be quite data driven and focussed on market research, as well as experience of leading PR strategy and you’ll have some exposure to developing brand partnerships.

You’ll probably be someone who is looking to move into a Head of Brand role rather than someone who is already in that role. This is because the role is still very hands on, and you must be happy to get involved with implementation as well as strategy. You’ll be ambitious and be keen to deputise for the European Marketing Director in their absence but you’ll also have some people management skills from managing a small team. You’ll be a motivator and supportive and obviously very tenacious.

What’s on Offer?

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the requirement to be in the office on a Monday only. Salary is up to £60,000 and there’s a substantial performance bonus based on company and personal objectives. Discounted childcare is also available and holiday is 25 days plus your birthday. This is a growing role and offers a lot of opportunity to grow and develop your career.
