The Head of Brand will sit alongside the Head of Digital Marketing, reporting directly into the Fractional CMO. Together these two roles will be responsible for the day to day running of marketing activities at MoneyPlus. Specifically, the Head of Brand, and their team of 4 direct reports, will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the brand strategy. This role requires a confident, proactive and visionary leader who can drive brand awareness, enhance brand equity, and ensure a consistent brand message across all channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand management, marketing strategy, and a proven track record of building and sustaining powerful brands. It is critical that this role embeds themself into the wider MoneyPlus organisation ensuring that brand is known and loved across all functions, and actively brought to life across all customers interactions. Visit our website to find out more about our company culture https://moneyplusgroup.com/careers/ What do we need you to do? 1 Brand Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies that align with the company's business objectives. Refresh and (re)define the brand’s positioning, values, and messaging. Specifically, develop messaging strategies and frameworks which can be communicated consistently across the business and across different marketing channels, always keeping in mind FCA guidelines. Conduct market research to understand consumer insights and market trends. 2 Brand Management: Oversee the creation and management of refreshed brand guidelines. Act as brand guardian, working cross-functionally to ensure guidelines are effectively communicated and activated across the business. Lead the development of content strategies and align content calendars across channels working closely with Social and PR agencies. Lead the development of brand campaigns and all creative work across owned, earned and paid channels. 3 Market Analysis and Insights: Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to inform and update brand strategy. Proactive feed insights into the business. Establish measurement and reporting frameworks for Brand Marketing activities (e.g. brand tracking, media measurement etc) Work closely with Head of Digital Marketing to ensure the correct balance between short and long term marketing investments, leveraging data to inform decisions. 4 Team Leadership: Day to day co-leadership of marketing activities, reporting into Fractional CMO. Manage and mentor internal team of 4. I) Brand & Content Manager, II) CRM Manager, III) Graphic Designer and IV) Copy/Content Writer. Establish relationships with external agencies. I) Social Agency, II) PR Agency and III) Creative Agency (yet to be recruited). Establish cross-functional relationships and build internal reputation of marketing. Foster a collaborative, creative and innovative team environment. 5 CRM Marketing Manage and support the newly created CRM Manager role in establishing CRM within the business. Recommend tools to help with effective CRM management, testing and measurement. 6 Business Leadership & Budget Management : Support C-Suite in the development of brand and business strategies and plans. Make recommendations for future investment opportunities that drive the business forward helping us over-deliver on our business targets. Manage the day-to-day budget for Brand Team, ensuring cost optimisation and zero over-spend. Negotiate contracts and costs with external agencies, which deliver maximum value to MoneyPlus. What skills and experience do we need you to have? 10+ years of experience in Brand Management and communication 5+ years of experience in leading and developing teams Experience within Financial Services (or other highly regulated industry) with a strong consumer focus Proven experience in Brand Strategy Development; namely, brand positioning and development of brand guidelines. Proven experience in Brand Management; specifically in developing content strategies, messaging frameworks and bringing unity across channels. Demonstrable experience of working in CRM, with knowledge for customer lifecycle and how to run CRM testing. Proven experience of managing in house and agency creative teams. Ability to think strategically and creatively. Solid knowledge of digital marketing channels such as paid media, SEO, social media, content marketing and email marketing. Proven track record in delivering a high-performance culture in a team through coaching, mentoring, and leadership Experience in analysing data and customer behaviour to help inform continuous optimisation of customer journeys and outcomes Able to engage with stakeholders including the C-Suite with an ability to communicate complex concepts to a lay audience. Energetic and charismatic leader to ‘be the face’ of marketing within the organisation creating understanding & acknowledgment of brand as growth driver.
