We are looking for a new Head of Communications & Marketing who will have the creative drive and energy to help us bring our ambition and vision to life. It goes without saying that you will be an experienced communications leader, with demonstrable experience of industry best practice, who connects with our purpose, vision and values. You will have substantial experience of delivering a ‘best in class’ communications service to a large complex public-facing organisation. You will know and understand the importance of our external profile and brand, working closely with the Leader of the Council and Chief Executive, and other senior colleagues and partners, in helping define and realise the communications strategy and service plan.
You will be responsible for the management and creative leadership of how we communicate and keep all our residents both informed and engaged. Developing strong partner relationships will be key, bringing together communications leads and developing joint strategies and plans. You will be an excellent manager who will embrace the Council’s values and behaviours and be able to lead the Communications and Marketing team through this new phase in Rotherham’s journey.
