Our client is a fast-growing Listed FX and Payment Services Provider to corporate and private clients globally. We have been retained to support them in the search for a Head of Compliance & MLRO.

About the role:

This person will play a pivotal role in delivering the compliance function of the company and ensuring the maintenance of an appropriate and robust risk-based compliance framework. They will need to be a change-orientated and commercially-minded individual, used to acting authoritatively and possessing the ability to balance the needs of a range of stakeholders across the business; the post-holder will report to the COO, support the Board, and manage a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a leader who can successfully navigate risk in a regulated and fast-paced environment
  • Act as MLRO for all companies within the Group.
  • Responsible for maintaining, updating and implementing the Compliance framework
  • Keeping abreast of regulator developments and implementing necessary changes
  • Conduct an annual risk assessment relating to financial crime and incorporate conclusions into current policies and requirements
  • Review potential high-risk relationships and transactions.
  • Report to executive management on the status of regulatory compliance and deliver advice on compliance matters
  • Lead the compliance team
  • Participate in the approval process for new business and marketing initiatives

Requirements:

  • Senior Management level experience within the Risk and/or Compliance function of a regulated financial institution
  • Able to work across the business with a commercial and solutions-orientated mindset
  • Good knowledge of E-money and AML regulations
