Are you ready to make a real impact? We’re on the lookout for a strategic and experienced Head of Corporate Communications to join us for a 12-month period. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our corporate communications strategy as we navigate some exciting transformations within the Group.


You’ll take charge of all internal and external corporate communications across our companies, providing strategic and operational direction to our Board and Executive leadership teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist the Executive Leadership teams and Board of Directors with all external announcements, ensuring compliance with AIM Rules, including RNS releases, content creation, communication scheduling, and support for investor meetings.
  • Provide strategic advice on media relations, crisis communication, and public affairs and work closely with external agencies on annual reports and press releases.
  • Lead the communications strategy for confidential transformation projects that may impact colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that communications and branding are aligned, including building and maintaining a strong employer brand with the talent team.
  • Partner with CEOs and Executive Leadership members to develop, manage and streamline communication plans that inspire colleagues, and enhances colleague engagement for all businesses.
  • Oversee the content development and maintenance of the company’s intranet.


What you’ll bring to HSS:

  • Strong background of developing and implementing communication strategies, and supporting change programmes.
  • Notable previous experience of supporting Board level communications in a PLC environment, with extensive knowledge of AIM Rules, reporting regulations and disclosure requirements.
  • The ability to establish trusted relationships with Executive Leadership teams and senior stakeholders.
  • A strategic thinker, skilled in adapting communication plans and the style of content for a range of audiences, and according to differing leadership styles.
  • The ability to pivot plans at short notice, and the stamina to overcome challenges and identify solutions in an environment of fast-paced change.
