As the Head of Data Science, you will play a pivotal role in driving the data strategy and analytics initiatives that underpin the innovative fintech solutions. You will lead a talented team of 14 data professionals, working on complex data problems, building predictive models, and extracting actionable insights to fuel our growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the data science team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Develop and execute the data science strategy in alignment with company goals, driving innovation and data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models, predictive analytics, and AI solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, and finance to integrate data science solutions seamlessly.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data and analytics outputs, implementing best practices in data management, governance, and security.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Manage the data science project lifecycle from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.
- Promote a data-driven culture within the organization, advocating for the use of data and analytics to drive business decisions.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within data science, machine learning, or a related field, preferably in a fintech or fast-paced technology environment.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data engineering.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and experience with data science tools and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Spark.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of data professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A track record of successful data science project delivery and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
