Our client is a FTSE 250 global industrial manufacturer working in sectors such as oil and gas, water and power and chemical and processing. With over 3000 employees they are based in 39 countries and serve customers in over 170.
The company now seeks an experienced, capable and ambitious individual to globally lead on ethics and compliance. Reporting to the General Counsel, the role will oversee, develop and enhance the company's Ethics and Compliance programme framework. The role will be both operational and strategic and focus on a short, medium and long term strategy, covering key areas of risk, gap analysis and opportunities to implement best practice. Key areas of focus will include anti-bribery and corruption, trade sanctions, gifts and hospitality, competition law, modern slavery, data protection, whistle blowing and investigations and money laundering.
To meet the criteria of the role you will will be an experienced compliance professional, ideally with a background in law as a qualified lawyer or similar background within finance. The role will also require experience of developing and rolling out an international compliance programme in a multinational company, either in a lead, or in a suitably senior support role. You will also have a pragmatic business focused approach and have the ability to operate and communicate effectively at all levels within a multifaceted global organisation.
