About Our Client
Page Executive have been retained to support this market leading and highly respected manufacturing / FMCG organisation based in the Birmingham area, to recruit a new Head of Finance.
Job Description
As Head of Finance, you will report to the Group Finance Director and support the MD and cross functional senior management team with all aspects of commercial decision support, in conjunction with the sound financial stewardship of the business.Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for all reporting across the Group and will ensure that you and the team produce accurate and timely information for use by the business, to include: Statutory Accounts, Management Accounts, KPI's, Forecasts, Budgets and Cost Centre analysis.
- Responsible for overseeing transnational processing and ledger management
- Business Partnering: work closely with providing financial, process and control support to the entire Group. You will be supporting directors, managers, and operatives. Therefore, you need to ensure that you and your team are able to effectively communicate and deliver within different levels of the organisation.
- Processes, Procedures and Internal Controls: you will identify, define, implement and improve the processes, procedures and internal controls across the Group working with other departments to ensure robust and efficient processes and controls.
- You will head up Continuous improvement for the Finance function and aid the rest of business where they need support on this.
- You will be responsible for the Finance Systems and be the Process and Super User for Finance systems. You will ensure that you have someone else in your dept who has similar knowledge and skills.
- Cash & Working Capital Management, including FX.
- You will be responsible for all HR and Health and safety matters for you and the finance department. You will conduct regular appraisals along with team and performance management as necessary.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a stable track record of career progression, ideally from the manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
You will be well organised, structured and able to work to agreed deadlines, be a proven leader / developer of best-in-class finance functions and be confident in challenging and guiding non-finance stakeholders, using a data-driven approach.
