Public sector client in the health and social care space based in Swindon, Wiltshire
Your new role
The role is termed as Head of Finance and, in essence is just that. The role will be managing the finance department on a day-to-day basis, its 3 staff members and reporting into the Finance Director.
What you'll need to succeed
This role is a very hands-on role with the requirement of the successful candidate to have overview of transactional finance, operational awareness and excellent Excel skills in order to be involved at all levels.
Experience within the public sector is essential due to the nature of the business and exposure to line management of staff will stand you in very good stead.
The role is advertised as permanent, but is initially a 6-month FTC with the expectation that the role may well continue beyond this period.
Control of the management accounts will be required along with cashflow reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
What you'll get in return
For undertaking this role, the successful candidate will receive a pro-rata'd salary of £55,000pa, but the client will entertain candidates looking for a day-rate.
The client offers a generous holiday entitlement and benefits, to be advised upon progression.
This role is inside IR35 due to the nature of the duties and reporting lines.
