Head of Fundraising
Aquilas are currently searching for aHead of Fundraisingon behalf of a health charity in order to provide strategic leadership and direction for all fundraising activities within the Charity.
Location:London - Hybrid working
Salary:circa £50,000 - £55,000 per year
Contract:Permanent, Full timeor 30 hrs per week
Key responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for leading and managing the fundraising team to develop a broad and balanced portfolio of fundraising activity, developing new sources of fundraising to achieve the Charity's strategic objectives relating to a step change in income levels and public profile of the Charity's work.
- You will be part of the senior management team. Working with the Chief Executive, you will develop strategies, annual action plans and budgets to ensure work is focussed and targets achieved maximising return on investment.
- Develop, manage and evaluate comprehensive budgets which provide performance information for the senior management team and trustees, and ensure that there is shared ownership of budgets within the fundraising team.
- Lead the major gift fundraising programme in partnership with the Chief Executive
About you
- An excellent track record in establishing, monitoring and achieving significant financial targets
- Significant experience operating at a senior level in fundraising or a commercial sales/marketing environment
- Significant experience of delivering significant income
- Experience of managing an income budget in excess of £1m
- Experience of leading and managing a team
- Experience of setting, implementing and evaluating fundraising strategies
- Experience of running Appeals, preferably capital appeals
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills, capable of building and developing successful relationships with stakeholders.
