Role Overview:

We're seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Government Relations (bid writer) to shape the future of the festival's presence in the UK. Your role will be pivotal in securing financial support from government grant programs, directly impacting the event's success and sustainability in London.


You will play a crucial role in helping win new business opportunities by effectively communicating the events strengths and capabilities through well-crafted bid proposals.




Responsibilities:

  • Research government funding opportunities and analyse eligibility criteria.
  • Draft compelling funding proposals tailored to government grant programs.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and guidelines.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and advocates for the event, across London, surrounding boroughs and The UK
  • Engage in advocacy efforts to influence government decision-makers.
  • Potentially manage grants and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with other organizations and sponsors to leverage additional support.




Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in government relations, grant writing, or advocacy.
  • Strong understanding of government processes and grant funding mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication, research, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Prior success working within the large events/conference sector, desirable
  • Experience working for a new brand launch
  • Passion for the arts, culture, and community engagement a must!
