Job Description

We have a rare and unique opportunity for a Head of Health Economics and Outcomes Research, UK and Ireland, to join our team in Feltham. You will be an integral part of the Market Access, Pricing and Government and Public Affairs team as well as the business unit extended team, helping build robust economic value propositions for medicines with the aim of securing patient access to innovative treatments across the UK and Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and executing Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategy for all products across our portfolio and throughout the product life cycle, with a focus on pre-launch HTA workstreams. You will lead a team of health economists in the development of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions to NICE/SMC/SMC and any necessary evidence generation/synthesis required to support these submissions. This role involves extensive engagement with key local, regional and global colleagues as well as external stakeholders who influence market access, pricing and reimbursement on both the national and local level. This role will be office-based but with the opportunity for hybrid working. Who you are:Master’s degree in health economics or related discipline7+ years’ experience in a Health Economics role in pharmaceutical industryExperience working in large, global matrix organisations Extensive, hands-on experience with HTA submissions to UK and Ireland HTA agencies (NICE, SMC, NCPE)Experience with evidence synthesis (systematic literature review, indirect comparisons, etc.), economic modelling (cost-effectiveness, budget impact), and real-world evidence generationStrong project management and communication skills (both verbal and written) Experienced people manager with high emotional intelligence to understand and support the needs of team members and stakeholdersHigh level of numeracy and attention to detail and capable of detailed analysis and interpretation of dataStrong understanding of evolving HTA policy landscape in the UK and IrelandA good understanding of the NHS including funding issues, pricing, commissioning and market access processes
